An inverted coaster is a coaster where the riders are suspended unders the track and the wheels are directly attached to the track.

The first and oldest inverted rollercoaster in operation is Batman: The Ride at Six Flags Great America that opened in 1992. The most recent edition is Battlestar Galactica: Cylon at Universal Studios Singapore in 2010.
